Data Engineer – Product Analytics & AI

About the role

Join Siemens Energy’s Gas Services division as a Data Engineer, where you will combine technical, analytical, and product expertise to drive performance improvements across our low‑emission power generation portfolio. You will work closely with product teams to evaluate and optimise solutions, leveraging AI and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, design and data science teams to define and implement data‑driven product enhancements.
• Design and communicate architecture solutions that align with business requirements and value creation.
• Define, track and analyse metrics that measure product success and adoption in the market.
• Develop reusable components, templates and reference architectures to standardise data and analytics best practices.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the future technology roadmap of the data engineering function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Extensive experience working with cross‑functional product teams, including management, engineering, design, data science and data engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to make data‑driven decisions and communicate results effectively.
• Experience in product optimisation, such as funnel or website optimisation and outbound communication channels.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) options.
