Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Ayming, you will be a key contributor to the company‑wide Data & AI transformation, helping to design, implement and scale a modern data platform that supports analytics, BI and future AI use cases across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines on Databricks.
• Contribute to the architecture and modeling of the enterprise data foundation.
• Develop high‑quality, well‑tested transformation logic that is consistent and reusable.
• Deliver trusted, documented and performant datasets to analysts and product teams.
• Optimize data workflows for scale, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Define engineering standards, best practices and documentation for the data platform.
• Support onboarding and evangelisation of modern data practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Passionate about modern data engineering and eager to shape a scalable data platform.
• Proactive, autonomous and able to propose improvements.

Required skills

• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Python for data processing and pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with cloud data ecosystems such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control and environment management.
• Hands‑on experience with modern data‑stack components, including Databricks.
