Data Engineer / Data Analyst

About the role

Air Apps, a family-founded company building an AI-powered Personal & Entrepreneurial Resource Planner, is hiring a Data Analyst (listed as Data Engineer in the title) for a fully onsite position at its Lisbon office. The role analyzes and interprets data to drive business insights and optimize product performance, creating reports, dashboards and performance metrics. Relocation support is offered.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user behavior, product performance and key business metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports with tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI or Google Data Studio.
• Collect, clean and structure large datasets to ensure accuracy and usability.
• Define and track KPIs for marketing, product and business performance.
• Use SQL, Python or R to extract, analyze and manipulate data.
• Work with product managers, engineers and marketing teams to provide data-driven insights.
• Conduct A/B testing and experiment analysis to improve product features and user engagement.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities in user journeys and customer funnels.
• Present findings clearly to stakeholders and leadership, and stay up to date with analytics best practices.

Required profile

• Around 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with large datasets and cloud-based data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Google Data Studio).
• Python or R for data analysis.
• Knowledge of A/B testing and statistical analysis.
• Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude or similar user analytics tools.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline optimization is a plus.
