Data Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role

Devoteam is looking for a Data Engineer to support banking stakeholders in Porto. The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, transforming business requirements into scalable data solutions, and delivering insights through visualisation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data tools and ETL pipelines for banking applications.
• Manage the full data lifecycle, including data feed industrialisation, warehousing and visualisation.
• Translate business requirements into effective data solutions and actionable requests.
• Collaborate closely with clients to clarify needs, manage expectations and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes and implement automation for greater efficiency.
• Ensure consistent, transparent communication with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python and ETL pipelines.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
• Analytical thinking with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Fluency in English (mandatory); French is a plus.
