Data Analyst – Business Intelligence (Power BI)

About the role

We are looking for a sharp and insightful Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. You will be the crucial link between raw data and strategic decisions, gathering business requirements, transforming complex data, and creating compelling visualizations that drive action across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate business needs into technical requirements for data models and reporting solutions.
• Develop, optimise, and execute SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Design and build dynamic dashboards and reports, primarily using Power BI, to monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable insights.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on data discrepancies and collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure data quality and availability.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, clearly communicating complex analytical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of BI projects, from requirements gathering to final deployment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar role focused on data and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for data analysis, manipulation, and automation (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Expert experience with Microsoft Power BI for data modelling, visualisation, and publishing reports.
• Proven ability to gather, document, and manage business requirements effectively.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with data.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modelling.
