Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

Retail Consult is looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to protect and support the information security of its global retail technology platform. Based in Porto, you will work with a multinational team delivering secure solutions for fashion, grocery, pharmacy, DIY, telecom and electronics retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, manage and safeguard the company’s infrastructure and assets from a security perspective.
• Design and review systems and solution architectures for security compliance.
• Monitor, detect and respond to security events and incidents.
• Report and manage violations of established information‑security policies.
• Assist in vulnerability assessments, audits and remediation of non‑conformities.
• Support the implementation of security policies, standards, procedures and management systems.
• Participate in security awareness training and compliance initiatives.
• Document processes, designs, findings and produce security reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High level of commitment, pro‑activity, adaptability and teamwork spirit.

Required skills

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies (routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NTP).
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, anti‑virus/malware, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IdP and digital certificates.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux) and related hardware.
