Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our Plant, Cyber & Digital Operations team. The role focuses on embedding security into operational technology services, ensuring resilient and compliant plant operations across their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Embed cybersecurity requirements, controls and architectures into the design and evolution of OT services, ensuring security and resilience throughout their lifecycle.
• Ensure OT services comply with standards such as IEC 62443, ITIL and regulatory requirements; support audits, risk reviews and exception handling.
• Validate security controls before go‑live, conduct service readiness reviews, manage remediation and secure handover to operations.
• Collaborate with service design owners, architects, engineering, SOC/ROC and plant stakeholders to balance security, operability, cost and performance.
• Contribute to lifecycle planning, technology refresh, vulnerability remediation and decommissioning of insecure components for continuous security improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Automation, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on Operational Technology / Industrial Control Systems.
• Proven experience integrating security into system or service design rather than only operational monitoring.
• Professional security certification such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of industrial networks, SCADA systems and their interaction with IT environments.
• Familiarity with SOC processes and incident response in OT contexts.
• Ability to assess and communicate risk in business and operational terms.
