CSA Construction Manager

About the role

Winthrop Technologies is seeking a CSA Construction Manager to lead the civil, structural and architectural work packages on a fast‑track data‑centre project in Sines, Portugal. The role combines hands‑on site leadership with strategic oversight to ensure safety, quality and client satisfaction throughout delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the CSA team of supervisors, engineers and package managers.
• Oversee site health, safety, quality and environmental performance in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate procurement, design, engineering and installation of all CSA works.
• Develop delivery strategies, prepare scope documents and subcontract packages.
• Review client designs, resolve discrepancies and protect contractual interests.
• Work with QA/QC teams to create and monitor site quality plans.
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, subcontractor performance and resource allocation.
• Develop and report project schedules together with planning and subcontractors.
• Chair weekly progress meetings with CSA subcontractors and maintain accurate records.
• Lead project close‑out activities including punch lists, safety files and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant construction‑related degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a CSA Construction Manager or senior role on large‑scale construction projects, preferably data‑centre.
• Strong track record of delivering civil, structural and architectural packages safely and on time.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients, designers and commercial teams.
