Crib Attendant

About the role

The Crib Attendant will manage the supply crib at our client’s facility in Ponce, ensuring that tools, equipment and consumables are readily available for production and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisition stock to keep inventory levels optimal.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records using a computer‑managed system.
• Mark and identify tools with tags, stamps or electric marking devices.
• Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the crib area.
• Coordinate with internal customers to fulfill tool and equipment requests.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities related to inventory and supply processes.
• Deliver tools and supplies to workers manually or with a hand truck.
• Support scheduled maintenance activities to reduce equipment breakdowns.
• Inspect tools for wear or damage and report findings to the supervisor.
• Replenish and maintain stocked vending machines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Experience operating a supply crib or similar inventory environment.
• Professional phone demeanor.
• Familiarity with computer‑based inventory management systems.
• Mechanical or industrial background preferred.
• Ability to work flexibly with maintenance and manufacturing personnel.
