Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst evaluates escalated, non‑routine credit situations for Toyota Credit de Puerto Rico, conducting background searches, financial ratio analysis, and risk assessments to support lending decisions. The role also provides dealer‑oriented service, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate loan applicants’ finances and calculate financial ratios to assess risk.
• Review credit applications, ensure compliance with lending criteria and regulatory standards such as ECOA, FCRA, SOX, and CFPB.
• Negotiate credit terms and limits with dealers while maintaining strong dealer relationships.
• Monitor market and dealer trends, report adverse issues, and manage portfolio risk.
• Maintain timely communication through all channels and achieve callback objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2‑5 years of progressive experience in credit analysis or financial risk assessment.
• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a team environment.
