Credit Analyst

About the role

BNP Paribas is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its credit risk team. The role involves analysing the creditworthiness of prospects and existing clients, contributing to portfolio risk monitoring, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial statement analysis of counterparts and assign a BNPP rating using the Group CRF tool.
• Review and update credit ratings on an annual basis.
• Issue risk advice based on credit analysis and contract factorability.
• Conduct client audits and provide a second‑level review of annual client assessments.
• Draft and amend contracts for new and existing clients, ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor the client portfolio with particular attention to watch‑listed files.
• Apply compliance rules, anti‑money‑laundering directives, sanctions, and KYC policies.
• Promote ethical conduct and client protection in line with the BNPP Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or Financial Analyst.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Result‑driven with strong organisational and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to set performance indicators and inspire commitment.
