Creative Strategy Manager

About the role

The Creative Strategy Manager helps clients re‑imagine their challenges, turning business problems, human insights and cultural shifts into creative opportunities that drive growth and make brands more meaningful. Working within Mastercard Advisors’ Creative Desk, they act as strategist, storyteller and facilitator, guiding teams from insight to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of creative strategies for key briefs and provide strategic leadership across European markets.
• Translate business objectives and brand challenges into clear strategic directions and creative platforms.
• Conduct desk research on markets, competitors, consumers and cultural trends, distilling insights into compelling ideas.
• Write high‑quality creative briefs and shape strategic narratives for client‑facing deliverables.
• Collaborate with creatives, account managers and clients, offering constructive feedback and ensuring strategic alignment.
• Mentor junior Creative Strategists, review their outputs and contribute to best‑practice frameworks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand planning or communications strategy within a leading agency or consultancy.
• Exceptional strategic thinker and writer, able to turn insights into compelling narratives.
• Experienced facilitator and storyteller, comfortable leading workshops and presenting to senior audiences.
• Strong collaborator and diplomat, skilled at navigating complexity and building trust across stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating across multiple European markets with cultural sensitivity and fluent English communication.
