Cost Engineer – Space Programs

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Engineer to support the costing and pricing of space programmes within Airbus Portugal. The role will work closely with engineering, procurement, commercial and program teams to ensure cost transparency and deliver accurate offer cost‑brochures.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate costing and pricing for offers, track cost convergence towards Target Must Cost and prepare cost‑brochures.
• Configure and update cost models with cost owners, collect actuals from running projects and produce deviation reports.
• Perform independent bottom‑up cost estimates using analytic, parametric or similarity approaches and support gap analysis.
• Support bid preparation, deliver cost files to internal customers and assist the pricing team up to contract signature.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal cost owners to negotiate and validate cost targets.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for cost data analysis and reporting.
• Cost modelling and financial analysis for aerospace projects.
• Experience with parametric cost estimation techniques.
