Cost Engineer – Space Programs

About the role

As a Cost Engineer for Space you will support the consolidation of costing and pricing for space offers, ensuring cost transparency and alignment with technical and commercial baselines. You will work closely with engineering, operations, commercial and procurement stakeholders to drive cost convergence towards target costs.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate costing and pricing for offers within defined product or program perimeters and track cost convergence towards the Target Must Cost.
• Prepare offer cost brochures, detailed costing files and financial elements for decision gates (MG3, RMC).
• Configure and update cost models with cost owners, collect actuals from running projects and support deviation reporting.
• Perform independent cost estimates using analytic, parametric or similarity approaches and communicate results for gap analysis.
• Support the pricing team in finalizing commercial offers up to contract signature and transition costing to program EAC.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a pioneering spirit and data‑driven decision making.
• Experience in cost engineering, pricing and cost model management within aerospace or related industries.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for cost modeling and financial analysis.
• Cost estimation techniques (analytic, parametric, similarity approaches).
• Pricing and financial entry preparation for offer gates.
