Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will lead the execution of construction and heavy‑reconstruction projects for Cotton Holdings in Ponce, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project activities with operations to keep schedules on track.
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters and other stakeholders, providing transparent updates.
• Develop, monitor and control project budgets to maintain profitability.
• Prepare and file all required contracts, permits and documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Create and enforce site safety plans, lead toolbox talks and participate in safety investigations.
• Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, resolve conflicts and ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor workmanship and quality to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, clients and business partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of construction project management experience, with extensive knowledge of heavy reconstruction projects.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to travel as needed.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Project management expertise.
