Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support the construction, commissioning, startup, and handover of a cogeneration project within a regulated manufacturing environment. The professional will lead execution across the Energy Building and Gas Station scope, coordinating contractors, engineering, operations, vendors, cost, schedule, procurement, safety, quality, and documentation through completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction activities for the cogeneration plant, including design, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Serve as primary point of contact for project managers, construction managers, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Prepare cost estimates, cash‑flow forecasts, track project costs and support capital funding requests.
• Develop and maintain the project Gantt schedule, provide monthly updates and manage schedule risks.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance for a team of 30+ onsite personnel.
• Identify technical issues, lead corrective‑action discussions, and drive RFI processes.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, environmental, safety, security, and quality requirements.
• Lead or support commissioning, qualification, startup, and handover activities to the Utilities team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of industrial construction project management experience, preferably with utilities, energy infrastructure or cogeneration projects.
• Proven experience managing large contractor teams (30+ onsite personnel) and delivering projects from design through commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, compliance and quality systems.
• Experience in regulated industrial environments and capital project funding processes.
