Construction Lead - Data Centers

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced, site‑based Construction Lead to oversee a major data‑center project. The role focuses on quality assurance, governance, and the coordination of multiple construction contractors to ensure safe, on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage governance, communication and control systems for client services.
• Review organisational structures and recommend alignment measures.
• Interface with contractors and monitor overall team performance.
• Audit compliance with management systems and report findings.
• Participate in project risk management, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Lead weekly technical and progress meetings and manage client gateway reviews.
• Oversee design stage deliverables, permitting, and fast‑track procurement.
• Conduct daily site progress reviews covering HSE, logistics and programme adherence.
• Produce formal progress reports and presentations for the employer’s representative.
• Administer contracts to protect client interests and ensure timely issuance of communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction leadership on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong site‑based management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple contractors.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and drive performance improvements.
