Communications Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Communications Specialist to design and execute high‑impact PR campaigns that translate trends, cultural moments, business priorities and data insights into compelling media stories. You will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistent, news‑worthy narratives across key markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify news hooks, develop narratives and create media‑ready stories that generate high‑quality coverage.
• Write clear, engaging press releases, pitches, op‑eds, trend‑led stories and reports tailored to specific audiences.
• Guide PR agencies and support direct media outreach to secure coverage in relevant outlets.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists, acting as a credible point of contact.
• Manage inbound press requests, draft timely responses and handle sensitive topics with sound judgment.
• Leverage internal data and insights to craft news‑worthy narratives and strengthen credibility.
• Utilise generative AI tools to enhance ideation, drafting and research while maintaining editorial quality.
• Own end‑to‑end PR project execution, balancing speed and quality across multiple deadlines.
• Contribute to multi‑market PR initiatives, ensuring consistency across regions.
• Collaborate with Category and Brand teams to align communication angles with business objectives.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in PR or communications, preferably in media, agency or tech environments.
• Proven track record of pitching stories and securing media coverage.
• Strong storytelling and writing abilities with a keen sense of news relevance.
• Understanding of media dynamics and experience building journalist relationships.
• Collaborative, proactive attitude with excellent stakeholder management.
