Commercial Drywall & Framing Mechanic

About the role

RQC, LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall & Framing Mechanic to join its field team at a military base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The role involves installing metal stud framing, drywall, and related commercial construction components for government and defense projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install metal stud framing systems and drywall panels according to project specifications.
• Perform structural and finish carpentry tasks, including acoustic tile ceiling (ACT) installation.
• Assist tradespeople from other disciplines as needed on the job site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, including structural or finish work.
• At least 2 years of commercial construction field experience.
• Proven experience installing steel or metal stud systems.
• Preferred experience with large‑scale government or military projects and ACT ceiling installation.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.
