Civil Site Engineer

About the role

The Civil Site Engineer will lead all on‑site construction activities for new resort projects in the Algarve region, ensuring work follows design specifications, schedules, budgets and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control site activities during construction and verify compliance with drawings, specifications and project plans.
• Coordinate with contractors and the construction manager, monitor progress and produce daily site reports.
• Drive daily schedules, manage budget, quality, and verify material and workmanship standards.
• Enforce safety regulations, health‑and‑safety plans and occupational risk prevention rules.
• Supervise quality of executed work, conduct inspections and resolve technical issues between MEP and civil contractors.
• Review construction drawings pre‑construction, provide technical advice and organise on‑site workshops for unexpected works.
• Maintain detailed documentation and archive all project records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in site management or civil construction.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and teamwork abilities.
• Good understanding of safety standards and quality‑control procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience with MS Project (desirable).
• Strong command of AutoCAD.
