Civil Project Engineer (Municipal)

About the role

CPH, a top-500 multidisciplinary engineering and architecture firm, is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join its San Juan, Puerto Rico office. The successful candidate will apply civil engineering principles to design, develop and deliver municipal and site-development projects while ensuring budget, schedule and quality targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of engineering solutions for municipal and site-development projects.
• Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications and related documentation using Civil 3D.
• Perform analyses and tests to validate designs and confirm compliance with project requirements.
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and communicate status, risks and issues to management and clients.
• Ensure all project activities meet safety regulations and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain project reports, design change records and status updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience on civil design projects involving site development, drainage or municipal work.
• Experience with Civil 3D software.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
