Civil Engineer – Data Center Projects

About the role

CTS Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Porto office and support the design and delivery of mission‑critical data centre projects across EMEA. You will translate client requirements into robust civil and structural solutions that ensure resilience, scalability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop civil and structural designs from feasibility studies through detailed design and IFC documentation.
• Produce drawings, specifications and technical documents in line with CTS and Eurocode standards.
• Coordinate civil design with MEP, architectural and specialist disciplines, working closely with BIM coordinators.
• Respond to RFIs, design changes and site queries; support client presentations and authority submissions.
• Provide on‑site construction support, including inspections, shop‑drawing reviews and technical meetings.
• Assist junior team members and contribute to QA/QC and as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience on critical infrastructure, data centre or high‑complexity industrial projects.
• Familiarity with local codes, Eurocode standards and sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM or LEED.
• Intermediate or advanced English; registration with the Ordem dos Engenheiros is a plus.
