Chemical Technician

About the role

Abbott Vascular is seeking a Chemical Technician to join its Barceloneta site. The role supports first‑shift production (Tuesday to Saturday, 7 am‑3 pm) by preparing chemical solutions, handling inventory, and ensuring safe disposal of chemicals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare solutions by weighing and mixing chemicals according to approved procedures and manufacturing needs.
• Maintain and clean assigned equipment and glassware in the Chemical Mixing Area.
• Support changeovers of chemical solutions to manufacturing machines and equipment.
• Coordinate training and certification for chemical technicians and handlers.
• Follow EHS, quality, and safety rules applicable to the area.
• Assist with transfer of methods, equipment qualifications, and process validations.

Required profile

• Ability to work the first shift (Tuesday‑Saturday, 7 am‑3 pm).
• Willingness to follow training curricula and certification schedules.
• Commitment to EHS and quality compliance.
