About the role

This trainee position supports the Finance Capital Markets Products Officer in monitoring and reconciling the profit and loss of Capital Market activities across BNP Paribas' Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Key responsibilities

  • Control the reconciliation of accounting and economic P&L for Front and Middle Office activities.
  • Work with a range of financial instruments including derivatives, forex, bonds, equities and commodities.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of identified breaks and challenge P&L figures.
  • Contribute to group financial statements and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist external auditors, operations, front‑office and IT teams with queries.
  • Propose improvements to operational processes and control frameworks.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
  • Solid knowledge of finance, budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Results‑driven with strong analytical abilities.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
