CAD Designer

About the role

As a CAD Designer at Addvolt, you will support the development of advanced climate and energy solutions for transport refrigeration. You will create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring they meet manufacturing, assembly and service requirements while contributing to continuous product improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new product 3D models and associated 2D drawings using CREO.
• Create electrical harness schematics with CREO Schematics and 3D harness models with the pro‑cabling tool.
• Model castings, stampings, extrusions, injection‑molded parts, sheet‑metal components and piping.
• Monitor design workflow and release data into the PLM system (Windchill).
• Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis, perform stack‑up calculations and incorporate results into designs.
• Present design concepts to project engineers and ensure compliance with assembly, manufacturing and service best practices.
• Maintain product BOMs and CREO model matrices.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in new product design and CAD modelling.
• Proven ability to work with mechanical and electrical components in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up and manufacturing constraints.
• Effective communication skills for presenting designs to engineering teams.
