Buyer – Purchasing & Supplier Management

About the role

The Buyer will support the Engineering and Production teams by analysing purchasing needs, selecting suppliers, and managing the end‑to‑end procurement process. This position ensures material availability while optimising cost and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse purchasing needs and technical specifications together with Engineering and Production.
• Identify, contact and select suitable suppliers that match organisational requirements.
• Negotiate prices, delivery times and commercial terms to achieve the best cost‑benefit ratio.
• Issue and follow‑up purchase orders through receipt, monitoring supplier performance and mitigating supply risks.
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers to respond promptly to JPM’s needs.
• Contribute to cost‑optimisation initiatives and improve purchasing process efficiency.

Required profile

• 12th grade, CET (Technological Specialisation Course) or higher education qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in purchasing or related field.
• Strong organisational, negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive, dynamic attitude with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.

Required skills

• English language proficiency.
• Knowledge of PHC (optional) and Excel.
• Negotiation techniques.
• Stock management.
