Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain

About the role

As a Buyer at NKT, you will play an important part in securing the materials and services needed to support production and maintenance activities. Working within a global organisation contributing to the green transition, you will help maintain efficient procurement processes, support supply chain continuity, and collaborate with colleagues across functions.

Key responsibilities

• Secure on‑time delivery of materials and services while supporting the Zero Metal Strategy.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing processes and Central Purchasing guidelines.
• Execute operational purchases through eSourcing tools and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
• Communicate sourcing outcomes to internal stakeholders and escalate risks when required.
• Maintain effective cooperation with Category Teams to optimise demand planning and supplier performance.

• Organised and consistent, comfortable working with changing priorities.
• Clear communicator who builds positive relationships and adopts a solution‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and high service standards.
• Enjoys collaborating with colleagues from different functions and locations in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics within an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and negotiation practices.
• Experience with contract law or contract management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• English language proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP.
