Business Analyst – IT Custody & Tax (On‑site)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the US Custody IT team in Lisbon. You will act as a bridge between business and IT, translating custody, settlement and corporate actions requirements into effective technology solutions for a leading international banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, challenge and refine requirements.
• Conduct impact analysis and feasibility assessments for new initiatives and system changes.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Provide functional expertise across Custody, Settlement and Corporate Actions domains.
• Identify process improvements and recommend innovative solutions.
• Participate in all phases of project and release lifecycles, ensuring adherence to timelines and governance.
• Manage and coordinate change requests related to system enhancements.
• Prepare and execute functional test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing.
• Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and ensure deployment readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or banking IT.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct impact and feasibility studies.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both business and technical teams.
• Ability to work in a global, distributed team across multiple time zones.
