Business Analyst (Custody & Tax)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our international IT team supporting critical custody and securities services platforms. Based in Lisbon, you will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with business stakeholders, development teams and colleagues across multiple regions to drive strategic projects and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyse business needs.
• Gather, document and validate functional requirements and produce detailed specifications.
• Provide functional expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including functional testing and user acceptance testing support.
• Participate in project delivery, releases and system evolution initiatives.
• Manage change requests, identify process improvements and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, timelines and reporting requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews and share knowledge within the team.
• Support complex business and system issues when required.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Management, Tax, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong experience in Custody Services and solid knowledge of Corporate Actions.
• Previous experience as a Business Analyst.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with JIRA.
• Experience working with Waterfall methodology.
