Business Analyst – Custody & Tax (Hybrid, Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our international IT team, supporting critical custody and securities services platforms in a global financial services environment. The role is based in Lisbon and operates on a hybrid model, combining office collaboration with remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyse business needs.
• Challenge and refine requirements through critical and constructive analysis.
• Gather, document, and validate functional requirements and produce detailed functional specifications.
• Provide functional expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including functional testing and user acceptance testing support.
• Participate in project delivery, releases, and system evolution initiatives.
• Manage and track change requests related to system updates.
• Identify process improvements and propose solutions for operational or product gaps.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, workflows, timelines, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support complex business and system issues when required.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Management, Tax, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong experience in Custody Services and solid knowledge of Corporate Actions.
• Previous experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with Waterfall methodology.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with JIRA.
