Backend Software Engineer – Mobile Parking Platform

About the role

IP Parking is looking for a hands‑on Backend Software Engineer to join its Mobile Parking Application team in Porto. You will design, build and maintain the backend services, APIs and databases that power the mobile parking platform and supporting back‑office systems used by thousands of customers daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, high‑quality code using C# and .NET technologies.
• Build integrations between mobile applications, back‑office systems and third‑party services.
• Work with large operational databases, optimise queries and improve performance.
• Support database improvements, migrations and operational maintenance.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and development tooling.
• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system reliability.

• Pragmatic software engineer who enjoys solving real‑world problems in a mature production environment.
• Strong sense of ownership, writes quality code and continuously improves existing systems.
• Collaborates effectively with developers, product owners and QA engineers.
