Backend Engineer

About the role

Devexperts is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the team developing a leading US trading platform serving over 200,000 daily online users. You will build and own backend services, infrastructure, and data systems while tackling high‑performance, low‑latency challenges in a high‑load financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain backend services handling order issuance, validation, routing, execution, option pricing and reconciliation.
• Ensure high performance, low latency and fault tolerance across a distributed system processing over 1 million requests per second.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and automated testing to maintain code quality.
• Solve complex scalability problems and optimize infrastructure for high‑load trading workloads.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in financial or trading systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go or Python and solid understanding of system design principles.
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms and delivering large technical projects in cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent English communication skills (B2+) for collaboration with multicultural teams and US customers.
