Backend Engineer – C#/.NET (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Backend Engineer to own both backend service development and data engineering for a real‑time facility navigation and asset‑tracking platform. The role is fully remote, based in Portugal, and focuses on ingesting live positioning data, correlating events, and exposing them via APIs to web and mobile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C#/.NET.
• Implement the service layer for asset tracking, facility navigation, and event detection.
• Integrate third‑party positioning and telemetry providers via their APIs and webhooks.
• Define and evolve API contracts in collaboration with frontend teams.
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and ensure codebase maintainability.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of services in production.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for backend development.
• Experience integrating third‑party APIs and handling real‑time or near‑real‑time data.
• Familiarity with a major cloud platform, preferably Azure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a small, cross‑functional team.

What we offer
