Back End Developer (Python) – Hybrid in Porto

About the role

We are looking for a Back End Developer with strong Python expertise to join our Porto team on a hybrid schedule. You will work on building and maintaining robust backend services that power our projects and support our growing client base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and C#.
• Implement and optimise data access with SQL, T‑SQL, ORM and Dapper.
• Develop and expose Web APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Write automated unit, integration and functional tests using Pytest, NUnit and Selenium.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, XL Deploy and XL Release.
• Collaborate with version control using Git and ensure code quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Python as the primary language.
• Hands‑on experience with C#, SQL, ORM, Dapper and Web API development.
• Strong background in automated testing (unit, integration, functional).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, XL Deploy and XL Release.
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher).
• Based in Portugal (or EU citizenship/valid work permit) and able to work on‑site twice a week.
