About the role
We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our food service team. The role involves routine preparation and delivery of both cold and hot meals, ensuring high standards of hygiene and compliance with all regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, serve, and store food according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
- Follow state and federal food safety regulations and facility policies.
- Apply proper food handling techniques to preserve quality.
- Monitor menu and special‑diet compliance; report any issues to the dietician or supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification where required.
Required skills
- Food safety knowledge (ServSafe certified).
- Understanding of sanitation procedures and safe food handling.
