Audit Assistant Associate – Start Jan 2027

About the role

We are looking for an Audit Assistant Associate to join PwC Services Portugal in Porto, starting in January 2027. The role will support international clients in the financial services sector, particularly private equity and real estate, and will be based in our modern PwC International Office.

Key responsibilities

• Assist audit teams throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to delivery of final reports.
• Prepare audit deliverables and contribute to the development of technical knowledge within the team.
• Apply PwC’s audit methodology: analyse client environments, assess risks, evaluate internal controls, audit financial statements and draft recommendations.
• Stay informed on local and national business, economic issues and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with audit standards and internal policies.
• Build internal relationships and promote the PwC brand.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Management or a related discipline (or will obtain it shortly).
• Availability to start in January 2027 and ability to submit a CV in English.
• Strong interest in audit, financial services and international client work.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and LUX GAAP accounting standards.
• Understanding of audit methodology and financial statement analysis.
