Associate Manufacturing (Night Shift)

About the role

As an Associate Manufacturing professional you will support the production of life‑changing therapies at Amgen’s Puerto Rico facility. Working on a 24 × 7 night shift, you will operate equipment, follow strict procedures and contribute to a safe, high‑quality manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment independently after training, including bioreactors, autoclaves, buffer/media preparation units, part washers, pumps, sterile tube welders and aseptic connectors.
• Monitor equipment, workspaces and outputs to ensure safety, quality and performance standards are met.
• Follow SOPs, cGMPs and safety protocols, recording activities and verifying data in electronic systems such as SAP, Symphony and SCADA.
• Identify and escalate equipment or process deviations, perform basic troubleshooting and collaborate with engineers or mechanics for complex issues.
• Support investigations, root‑cause analyses and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in daily meetings, communicate production needs and adapt to shifting priorities during downtime.

Required profile

• Willingness to work night shift in a 24 × 7 manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to procedural compliance.
• Ability to follow SOPs, cGMPs and safety guidelines consistently.

Required skills

• Operation of bioreactors and autoclaves.
• Use of part washers, sterile tube welders and aseptic connectors.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing systems such as SAP, Symphony and SCADA.
• Understanding of cGMP and GDP documentation practices.
