Assistant Head Waiter – Fine Dining

About the role

The Pestana Vila Sol Hotel is looking for a motivated Assistant Head Waiter to support the restaurant team in delivering an exceptional fine‑dining experience. You will work closely with the Head Waiter and management to ensure smooth operations and high guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage restaurant staff, ensuring service standards are met.
• Welcome and assist guests, addressing their needs promptly.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Control inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
• Inspect the dining area and equipment to guarantee cleanliness and functionality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverages, preferably in a fine‑dining environment.
• Proven experience in supervising or managing a restaurant team.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Guest‑oriented, quality‑focused and a strong team player.
