Assistant Director of Finance – Portugal

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance will support the Corporate Director of Finance in managing the financial operations of MGM Muthu Hotels' portfolio in Portugal. This senior‑level position contributes to reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ensures compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to oversee all financial activities for the Portuguese hotel portfolio.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor costs and budgets in partnership with department heads, providing variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, legal regulations and internal control procedures.
• Support corporate finance initiatives such as system implementations, process improvements and business transformation projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
