About the role

Randstad is seeking an entrepreneurial architect to join a newly launched real‑estate, architecture, engineering and construction group in Madeira. As the first in‑house architect you will shape modern, sustainable high‑end homes that respect the island’s heritage while targeting an international market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural concepts that set new design benchmarks.
• Oversee all project phases, ensuring design intent, budget and schedule are met.
• Collaborate with in‑house engineers, project managers and real‑estate professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
• Guide junior architects and designers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Integrate sustainable principles and ensure designs are sensitive to the local context.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with a proven portfolio.
• Full membership in Ordem dos Arquitectos and legal right to sign building licence applications in Portugal.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, with ability to travel to Madeira.
• Experience with small‑ to medium‑scale residential and tourism projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools.
