Application Support Engineer (Support Level 1)

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join the dxFeed Technical Support team. You will help B2B clients troubleshoot complex market‑data issues, work with internal teams, and continuously improve our high‑load financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for dxFeed market‑data products to global B2B clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in high‑load financial systems.
• Communicate technical guidance, recommendations, and integration support.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
• Identify root causes and propose long‑term solutions.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and documentation.
• Assist with rollout of new products and monitor system health.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, sales, legal, finance and external market‑data providers.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing for users and teammates.
• Stay current with FinTech trends and follow security, quality, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• General interest in finance and trading.
• Experience working with global clients.
• Strong communication and soft‑skill abilities.
• Ability to respond quickly to tickets, alerts and calls.
• Problem‑identification mindset and stress resistance.
• Console skills: Linux/Unix basics, bash, configuration files, log analysis.
• Basic knowledge of Java, Python or C/C++.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, TCP).
• Understanding of cloud concepts (SaaS, IaaS, scalable solutions).
