Application Support Engineer / Application Manager

About the role

Working from Portugal within the IT Finance Department, you will join the Resources and Skills Department as an Application Support Engineer. The role offers a hybrid work model with opportunities to travel both inside and outside Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the procurement ecosystem using the Scoops and Skipper applications, ensuring performance, operational monitoring, and compliance with SLAs.
• Assess risks, guarantee delivery deadlines, and conduct regression testing within defined test coverage ratios.
• Develop and validate functional or technical macro‑solutions, coordinating necessary resources and expertise.
• Maintain and update RUN deliverables, documentation, and knowledge‑base articles, including FAQs and bug‑fix information.
• Communicate regularly with business stakeholders, organize meetings and committees, and drive continuous improvement to reduce incidents.

Required profile

• University degree in an IT‑related field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar application support role.
• Background in purchasing and management control, and experience acting as a technical leader in application production run support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management, meeting facilitation, and incident handling.
