Android Pioneer – Automotive OS Customization

About the role

Critical TechWorks is looking for an Android Pioneer to shape the core of BMW’s in‑car experience. You will work on deep Android OS customization, ensuring seamless integration with cutting‑edge vehicle hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Tailor the Android operating system from kernel to UI for BMW vehicles.
• Perform cross‑layer optimization to boost performance and hardware compatibility.
• Develop innovative Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Design and implement user‑friendly interfaces following best‑practice patterns.
• Analyze and improve application performance and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams, hardware engineers, and testing groups to deliver high‑quality code.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Android OS architecture and embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with solid OOP fundamentals.
• Experience working in agile, Scrum‑based environments.
