AI/ML Team Leader – Technology Development

About the role

As an AI/ML Engineering Lead you will build and guide a high‑performing team that delivers machine‑learning, generative‑AI and digital engineering solutions for automotive engineering and manufacturing. You will define the technical vision, oversee complex AI initiatives and ensure robust, scalable, and compliant AI systems that support product design and production excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, lead, mentor and develop a growing team of AI/ML and digital‑solution experts.
• Define the technical roadmap and oversee project execution to guarantee high‑quality delivery.
• Design and implement ML systems for engineering and manufacturing use cases.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions that optimise product design and manufacturing workflows.
• Provide strategic technical support for AI/ML implementation in production environments.
• Manage model releases and hand‑over to operations/DevOps teams.
• Co‑develop solutions with business stakeholders, domain experts and data engineers.
• Build and integrate GenAI agents for tasks such as requirements analysis, documentation assistance, test interpretation and failure analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI/ML teams in an industrial or automotive context.
• Strong background in designing, deploying and maintaining production‑grade AI/ML systems.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and deliver results.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional stakeholders.
