AI Software Engineer Internship

About the role

As an AI Software Engineer Intern at Bosch Group in Lisbon, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to build AI‑driven internal platforms that improve automation, developer productivity and business intelligence. You will gain practical experience developing backend and frontend services, integrating large language models, and deploying cloud‑native applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing and testing backend services using Go (Golang) and Elixir.
• Contribute to frontend features built with React.
• Develop AI‑powered applications and internal developer tools.
• Build AI agents and workflows with Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) and related frameworks.
• Design and maintain prompt‑engineering pipelines, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and graph‑based RAG.
• Create and document REST APIs and microservices.
• Support deployment and operation of applications in Kubernetes clusters using Helm and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, generative AI and cloud‑native software development.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, Go and Elixir.
• Frontend development with React.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiarity with REST API design and microservice architecture.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to large language models and prompt engineering concepts.
