AI-first QA Engineer

About the role

Smartcat is looking for an AI‑first QA Engineer to drive quality across its Agentic AI platform. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to build and maintain automated test suites, embed quality early in the development lifecycle, and leverage AI tools to accelerate problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases for core product features.
• Analyze the existing QA approach, identify gaps, and deliver a structured improvement plan.
• Define and lead the automation strategy based on risk assessment and scalability.
• Keep QA tools and automation frameworks up‑to‑date, reusable, and maintainable.
• Mentor junior QA team members and promote best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed quality checks early in the development process.
• Use AI‑enhanced tools daily to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
