AI Engineer & Agent Developer

About the role

We are seeking an AI Engineer / Agent Developer to join our Technology team at the Digital Campus in Porto. You will create AI‑powered agents, copilots and automation solutions that support SAP migration and modernise our enterprise data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AI agents and automation components for SAP migration projects.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs and orchestration workflows.
• Develop AI capabilities to analyse SAP BW objects, ABAP code, metadata, lineage and migration complexity.
• Create Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and context‑management solutions using enterprise documentation and data catalogs.
• Integrate AI applications with SAP repositories, DevOps pipelines, source‑control systems and enterprise data platforms.
• Support migration activities such as object discovery, impact analysis, mapping, documentation generation and testing.
• Collaborate with SAP architects and domain experts to translate business knowledge into reusable AI context and structured metadata.
• Implement human‑in‑the‑loop review processes, approval workflows and quality controls for AI‑generated output.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in AI engineering, agent development or related fields.
• Proven experience with SAP migration, SAP BW and ABAP environments.
• Strong background in building backend services, APIs and automation workflows.
• Ability to work closely with architects and domain experts in a collaborative setting.
