AI Director

About the role

Metyis is seeking an experienced AI Director to shape and execute its enterprise‑wide AI vision. Based in Porto, you will lead the strategy, architecture and governance of AI solutions that drive measurable business impact across multiple domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the enterprise AI strategy, architecture vision and technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Establish AI governance frameworks, engineering standards and best‑practice guidelines for scalable, secure and responsible AI deployment.
• Partner with senior business and technology leaders to identify AI opportunities and deliver high‑impact initiatives.
• Oversee delivery of strategic AI projects, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with priorities.
• Provide technical leadership on AI architecture, cloud platforms, data ecosystems and modern AI technologies.
• Build, mentor and grow high‑performing AI Architecture and Engineering teams in a global, multidisciplinary environment.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of professional experience in AI, data analytics or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading AI strategy and large‑scale AI implementations.
• Strong ability to collaborate with executive stakeholders, business leaders and engineering teams.
• Experience establishing governance, standards and best practices for AI solutions.
