AI Architect

About the role

As an AI Architect at Aubay Portugal, you will shape the AI strategy across our product portfolio and internal systems. You will work closely with engineering teams to design, build, and ship AI‑driven features that impact millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end AI architecture, covering data flows, model selection, integration patterns, and observability.
• Develop and deliver AI‑powered features and internal tools from concept to production.
• Define standards and best practices for AI development across engineering teams.
• Evaluate models, tools, vendors, and infrastructure, providing technical recommendations.
• Validate architectural decisions hands‑on by writing production code.
• Act as the technical reference for AI, raising the overall technical bar within the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an architecture role with system‑level design responsibility.
• Hands‑on experience with modern AI/ML stacks, including LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in AWS for designing and implementing AI solutions.
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher).
• Residency in Portugal (citizenship, work visa, or residence card).
• Alignment with corporate culture, integrity, and ethics.
