Actuarial Analyst - UK

About the role

Join the Actuarial Valuations team within Mercer’s People and Investments business, based in Lisbon. This hybrid position supports the UK Wealth business and works closely with both Portugal‑based and UK‑based consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, review and upload client data, and assist in preparing actuarial valuations, participant statements and client listings.
• Reconcile data and assets from previous valuations, prepare summaries, and check plan questions related to valuations.
• Calculate and analyse special retirement projects, prepare government forms and regulatory documentation.
• Act as a key point of contact for technical and scheme‑specific queries from clients, third parties and other Mercer businesses.
• Support project management, ensure timely delivery and maintain high quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, finance or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and organizational skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
